Upper Cowlitz Community Awareness Committee

This is not a formal government committee but rather a local committee of interested residents (both permanent and part-time) so that we can be informed and have input to the more formal government systems.

If you are interested in attending these meetings and participating in this committee please join our mailing list.

Be sure to take a look at the information on the proposed Upper Cowlitz Channel Migration Zone and check back often for additional information.

Important News - Obama Administration proposed revisions to floodplain management.

Please take a few minutes to review the Obama Administration’s Draft Executive Order. This order would revise the 1977 Executive Order of President Jimmy Carter to stricter policies and restrictions for development in both the 100-year and  500-year floodplains. For convenience, you can LISTEN to an audio version of this draft Executive Order.
